The US-Ukraine Foundation continues to expand its Biotech Initiative network with the recent signing of a memorandum on cooperation with the "Up to the Future" technology transfer office. This newly formed Ukrainian entity was created by the Yuria Pharm pharmaceutical company to promote the work of Ukrainian research scientists with a view to possible commercialization. "The missions of our two organizations are complementary," said USUF Vice president, Markian Bilynskyj, "and will hopefully create a synergy for the international promotion of work being done by young Ukrainian researchers."
In June, Up to the Future will assist the USUF in presenting approximately a dozen projects at the BIO International convention in Philadelphia - the biggest event of event of its kind on the US biotech calendar.
